Vincent de Paul(1580-1660 A.D.)
The Lazarist Fathers and the Sisters of Charity의 설립자. 프랑스에서 농부의 아들로 태어난 그는 Toulouse에서 신학을 공부했고 1600년에 사제로 서품받았다. 파리에서 빈민들을 돌보는 사역을 하는 동안 그는 남자와 여자 모두를 위한 Confraternities of charity를 설립했고, 1625년에 농촌지역사람들 중에 베푸는 사역과 성직자 훈련을 위해 흔히 Lazarists 또는 Vincentians라고 불리는 the Congregation of the Mission을 세웠다. 그는 1737년에 시성되었고, 기념축일은 7월 19일.
